Responsibilities:
- Lead the interconnection process for new power generation projects, ensuring seamless integration into the existing grid.
- Utilize power flow analysis tools such as PSS/E or PSLF to assess the impact of interconnecting new generation facilities on system stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies to develop interconnection agreements and compliance documents.
- Conduct detailed power system studies to evaluate voltage stability, transient stability, and short-circuit analysis for interconnected facilities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on interconnection requirements, standards, and best practices.
- Manage interconnection project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones and regulatory deadlines.
- Oversee the implementation of interconnection projects, including equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical input and feasibility assessments for prospective interconnection projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies related to power system interconnection.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members in power system analysis techniques and interconnection processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience with power flow analysis and simulation tools such as PSS/E or PSLF.
- In-depth knowledge of power system modeling, transmission planning, and interconnection standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical grid operations, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail in analyzing complex technical issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
