A global environmental solutions MNC is looking for a Instrumentation and Control Engineer (plant maintenance) in Singapore.
Job Overview: As an Instrumentation and Control Engineer (Maintenance), you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems within our facilities. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial processes. Your expertise in instrumentation, control systems, and maintenance practices will be crucial in identifying and resolving issues promptly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational excellence.
Location: West, Singapore
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults or malfunctions in instrumentation and control systems to minimize production downtime and maintain system integrity.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address recurring issues and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration and functioning of instrumentation and control systems.
- Develop and execute maintenance plans and schedules, coordinating with maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and system modifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in instrumentation and control systems, recommending and implementing improvements accordingly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians, assisting in complex repairs and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in the procurement of spare parts, equipment, and services, ensuring their suitability and compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct training programs for operators and maintenance personnel to enhance their understanding of instrumentation and control systems and ensure safe and effective operation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of working experience in engineering with EPC/EPCM contractors or in Operation & Maintenance in the Oil, Petrol and Chemical Plant or similar.
- Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems within an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of various instruments, control valves, PLCs, SCADA systems, and their integration.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
