Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to optimize industrial water treatment plants. In this role, you will troubleshoot and optimize complex water and waste water treatment processes. This will be accomplished by working with operations personnel and our customer, reviewing process data, performing pilots and experiments to interpret and understand the root cause issues of problems at plants.
All industrial wastewater treatment experience is relevant: Anaerobic, Aerobic, Sludge Dewatering, DAFs, Clarifiers, Tertiary Filters, Biogas systems, Pumps, Lift Stations, Mixers, Chemical Systems, EQ tanks, pH control systems, Disinfection are all pieces that we have supplied in our projects over the past few years.
We supply complete wastewater systems typically with a biological treatment step (Anaerobic or Aerobic) at the heart of the system and surround that with all the equipment needed to provide a turnkey process solution.

- At least a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) and 2-20 years relevant work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred
- Experience with Piping & Instrumentation Diagram Development (AutoCAD P&ID or similar) is a plus
- Experience with Hydraulic Modeling Software (PIPE-FLO or similar) is a plus
- Experience with Chemical Process Simulation Software (CHEMCAD or similar) is a plus
- Experience with Process Hazard Analyses (PHAWorks or similar) is a plus
- Ability to cross-collaborate and work effectively in teams or independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to continue to improve and learn
- Candidates must be willing to travel up to 20% average over the year and possess a valid driver's license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 1-10 days, depending upon the specific requirements of each project.
- The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.
