Hydraulics Engineer
Introduction:
Our client is a fast-growing multidisciplinary consultancy that due to recent success is expanding its water team in Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze hydraulic systems, including pipelines, channels, drainage systems, and water treatment facilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies, including site investigations and assessments, to determine project viability and potential impacts.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, simulations, and modelling to predict system behaviour and performance.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of existing hydraulic infrastructure, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and providing recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with hydraulics modelling, engineering and documentation preferably within the water industry.
- Proven experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in the design and construction of hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in hydraulic engineering, such as AutoCAD and HEC-RAS.
- Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
