Our client, an established full-service and internationally-renowned engineering consulting firm based in Toronto, is seeking a skilled and experienced Heritage Preservation Project Manager to join their team. As the successful candidate for this permanent position, you will play a crucial role in preserving Ontario's rich history while ensuring safety standards are met. The client in question has a particular focus on major projects, and offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to collaborate with teams spanning across North America.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification relevant to Civil/Structural Engineering or Building Science
- 5+ years' experience in historic preservation and consulting, preferably also demonstrable interest and research into historic construction materials.
Skills:
Historic Preservation - Demonstrated knowledge about historic buildings and structures within Canada specifically related to restoration practices such that valuable cultural assets can be preserved without compromising its historical significance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Oversee multiple projects from start-to-finish using your expertise on building science principles including design review processes which improve energy efficiency aspects;
* Develop accurate budgets that aligns business objectives with financial goals whilst keeping track of expenses throughout each stage;
* Liaise closely between contractors/vendors/suppliers/subcontractors etc...all stakeholders involved at any given point during construction phase thereby assuring timely completion deadlines remain intact until delivery date arrives!
