Head of Sales

I have an exciting opportunity in Melbourne for a Head of Sales role. I am working with a leader in energy storage technology and innovation.

The Head of Sales will assume a pivotal role in the business. The primary focus will be to lead the Sales Team to deliver outstanding sales results by supporting new and existing clients. This role focuses on the development of sales within the Commercial & Industrial and Utility Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve annual financial objectives including Net Sales, Net Margin, core working capital, and EBITDA.
• Lead the Sales team with a professional and educational/consultative technical sales approach.
• Develop new opportunities and grow our network of partners to deliver BESS solutions for projects, tenders, PPA deals, etc.
• Maintain and develop strong customer relationships.
• Embed the use of sales and customer data to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and OEM partners to select market-leading hardware and software solutions.
• Innovate to create the market by working with developers, government, and retailers for projects and ESS system roll outs.
• Build a high-performing sales team through effective people and performance management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Senior leadership experience within the renewable energy industry.
• At least five years of experience in the renewable energy industry, including roles such as Sales Manager or in a leadership capacity.
• Strong commercial acumen and team collaboration orientation.
• Proven ability to build constructive and effective relationships at management and executive levels.
• Experience as a Sales Manager within the manufacturing industry is desirable.
• Highly experienced in business development planning and managing strategic projects.
• Demonstrated ability and solid understanding of managing financial KPIs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
• Right to work in Australia is required.
