Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst supporting the Project Development and Finance team, you will:
- Develop and manage financial models for projects in development, undergoing refinancing, and those the company is selling equity shares or considering acquiring.
- Contribute to the creation of information memorandums, management presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials as required.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and manage inputs to project financial models.
- Evaluate potential acquisitions through leveraged and unleveraged cash flow, NPV, and IRR analysis.
- Review and analyze financial data of considered projects, identifying issues and opportunities for informed decision-making.
- Research recent project finance transactions to identify market trends, pricing strategies, debt levels, and best practices.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in M&A, project finance, accounting, or financial modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including mastery of complex formulas and macros.
- Proven ability to create and maintain financial models for both conventional and renewable energy financings, with expertise in tax equity and power purchase agreement (PPA)/hedge modeling.
- Preferred knowledge of ISO/RTO energy markets.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Quick learning capability and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive within a matrix organizational environment.
