Position Objective: Tasked with overseeing and managing a comprehensive safety management system for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. Working closely with various stakeholders, including the Safety & Health Department, Project Managers, Project Superintendents, and craft personnel, the Field Safety Coordinator ensures adherence to safe work practices and conditions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting general safety orientation for new hires.
- Coordinate on-site safety meetings and facilitate safety training sessions.
- Support incident investigation procedures.
- Conduct and document on-site safety audits while providing technical safety guidance.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to safety.
- Proactively promote and encourage safe work behaviors and rectify unsafe conditions.
- Integrate safety protocols into project plans, establish safety objectives, enforce safety policies and procedures, and monitor safety performance metrics.
- Provide support and coaching to supervisors and employees to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Offer constructive feedback to foster learning, monitor safety compliance, and raise awareness.
- Prioritize continuous improvement initiatives.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with IBEW union craft personnel.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.
- Extensive travel is a requirement of this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Construction Management preferred; relevant field experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction safety.
