Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of multiple heavy highway construction projects concurrently.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to established timelines and financial constraints.
- Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including procurement, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively address issues to ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, and local authorities, to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Estimation:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for heavy highway construction projects, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and establish the most cost-effective construction methods.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive bids from vendors and subcontractors.
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal project costs.
- Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in project management and estimation within the heavy highway construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of heavy highway construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address project risks and challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
