We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our client's team based in Texas. As an industry leader, we specialize in providing innovative environmental solutions for various sectors across the Southern Region.
Qualifications:
- We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience in the environmental consulting industry who can complete projects under regulatory programs such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).
- Our ideal candidate should also have experience managing projects and preparing documentation for compliance with TRRP and possess a good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
- They should be comfortable with field documentation and sampling techniques and be willing to travel with a valid driver's license. The candidate will need to pass a background check in order to enter Federal Facilities.
- They should also be willing to obtain certifications and participate in training activities as needed to support the team. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and a company physical exam (indicating that there will be no restrictions for field activities)
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field of study from an accredited university.
Responsibilities:
- This position will work alongside other experienced professionals on a skilled team performing due diligence, remediation, compliance, and other environmental sampling and analysis activities.
- The candidate will conduct Site Investigations, perform compliance inspections/sampling, and prepare reports.
- They will provide technical leadership and support on environmental projects, conducting field investigations/assessments and collecting project-related data for analysis.
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing environmental reports and studies (e.g., Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessment reports) and conducting various multimedia sampling (surface water, sediment, soil, groundwater, soil gas).
- They will prepare environmental regulatory program submissions and conduct aquifer testing, water level measurements, and elevation surveying.
- The candidate will also be required to review and validate laboratory analytical data, using federal or state guidelines for insertion into technical reports. They should be able to interpret and present data, including tables and GIS figures to illustrate collected data. The candidate will write technical reports summarizing field events, laboratory analytical methods, data results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- They will schedule and oversee utility locating, geophysical survey, excavation, drilling, and manage construction subcontractors. The candidate will be responsible for client communication on scope development and project deliverables, both in the field and office.
- Fieldwork in potentially remote areas, which may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather, is required. The candidate should have the ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Some travel will be required, and the position will require fieldwork and travel, as well as early start times and occasional night or weekend work.
