Maintenance & Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Uphold high moral and ethical standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to department employees.
- Establish facility values to guide operations.
- Prioritize safe work habits and maintain a clean workspace.
- Foster positive relationships with coworkers, customers, and associates.
- Identify and address department training and safety needs.
- Identify and solve safety, quality, and environmental issues.
- Support facility and departmental budgeting and project development.
- Develop programs to minimize project costs while maximizing safety and efficiency.
- Engage employees in policy, procedure, and system improvement.
- Evaluate staffing requirements and recommend changes.
- Coordinate contract services for project assistance.
- Improve the Maintenance/Engineering Department's work environment.
- Lead project scoping, planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Conduct department meetings and balance construction resources.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and documentation.
- Prepare project estimates, cost justifications, and documentation.
- Conduct project review and update meetings.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and codes.
- Manage Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Participate in miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Involve employees in business systems development and improvement.
- Participate in quality management reviews.
- Manage daily maintenance and turnaround planning/scheduling.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure accuracy of cost allocations and warehouse inventory.
- Fulfill other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Maintenance & Engineering Manager Qualifications:
- B.S. degree preferred in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance/engineering experience.Continue
- Minimum 10 years of maintenance/engineering experience without a B.S. degree.
- Experience in chemical processing or refining preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Project, Excel, Word, SAP, and other software.
- Uphold high moral and ethical standards.
