Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing and workload issues, including managing direct, indirect and overtime hours as they relate to workload, budget and timing
- Assist with the successful management of engineering programs as they relate to cost, quality, safety, timing and customer satisfaction
- Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment
- Develop the Controls department through leadership, mentoring, and training of Controls Engineers
- Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build, power and design teams
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 7+ years of applicable experience in an automation role
- 7+ years proficiency in programming languages, including PLC, robotics, vision systems, and handshaking between various peripheral systems
- Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
- Experience troubleshooting automated equipment involving hardware and software issues
- 3+ years of experience leading teams of engineers
