We are in search of a talented Gas Transmission Project Engineer to join our esteemed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm. This role will primarily focus on the design and management of new compressor stations, as well as upgrades to existing facilities, within the gas transmission sector.
Responsibilities:
Compressor Station Design: Lead the design and engineering efforts for new compressor stations, including layout, equipment selection, and piping design, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
Upgrade Projects: Manage upgrade projects for existing compressor stations, identifying opportunities for improvements in efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for compressor station projects, and oversee their successful execution from inception to completion.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, maintaining open communication and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with compressor station projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure that all design work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety on project sites.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure project success.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas transmission projects, with a focus on compressor station design and upgrades, preferably within an EPC environment.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME B31.8, API RP 1173, and DOT regulations.
Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
