A leading engineering consulting firm is looking to bring on an Electrical Power System Studies Engineer to join the team! This position will support the Power System Studies group, working on renewable energy projects across the US, with the ability to work fully remote and/or the option to go into any office location across the US (Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL, and more!)
The Electrical Power System Studies Engineer will be responsible for:
- Performing power system studies, system impact studies, thermal capability analysis, generation interconnection studies, etc.
- Leading dynamic and time domain studies
- Coordinating and communicating with clients
The Electrical Power System Studies Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2-6+ years of relevant experience in Power System Studies or Transmission Planning/Interconnection
- Expertise in PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, PSCAD, EMTP, PowerWorld, etc.
- Experience working in one or more ISO/RTO (NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO, or WECC)
