A leader in alternative energy solutions, this company is hiring for an Electrical Department Manager to lead and manage the Electrical Engineering team that will focus on a range of energy projects relating to the treatment of natural gas and biogas.
This market leader offers high-value consultancy, engineering and construction management services to the energy, process and power industries. You will get the chance to work on Renewable Energy projects, as they focus on LFG to Energy Plants and Waste-to Energy facilities, converting biogas diverted from waste into Green Energy including heat, electricity and Renewable Natural Gas. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this Electrical Department Manager, will determine technical and professional staffing needs along with determining program objectives and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer technical supervision for the electrical aspects of internal projects, ensuring alignment with project scopes and managing corporate risk.
- Foster the growth and mentorship of team members to enhance their technical proficiency, presentation skills, and comprehension of the company's capabilities.
- Assist in the development of proposals and presentations for new business ventures.
- Take the lead in crafting studies, cost estimates, and design documents from inception to finalization.
- Knowledge in medium voltage equipment and distributions.
- Oversee development of electrical specifications and construction work specifications.
- Perform intricate electrical calculations for system designs, adhering to NEC or other applicable standards.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- P.E. Certification strongly preferred
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the engineering field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Advanced understanding of electrical equipment and wiring design.
