Scope of Job: RT Engineering's focus is on solving our customer's Industrial Controls issues by designing solutions from an electrical and mechanical perspective. The Electrical Controls Engineer's focus will be on the electronic controls, but will also work closely with the Mechanical Engineers on Automation Projects. Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time is a very important element of this position. Being able to work well with a variety of customers, including understanding commercial situations is an everyday occurrence here at RT, and is a key part of realising success at RT.
Primary Responsibilities: The Controls Engineer will provide design, BOM's, drawings, communication to customer, and guidance to the Production and Service Department on all custom designed systems RT produces. Additional responsibility may include, but is not limited to testing programs or circuitry on systems prior to shipping, and taking the lead on the FAT(Factory Authorised Testing) process with our customers. Ability to work independently. Ability to troubleshoot and utilise remote resources.
Qualifications: Excellent knowledge of Industrial Control Systems - Specifically Drives, PLC's, HMIs and Industrial Networks Excellent knowledge of PLC's, such as Allen- Bradley, Siemens, Automation Direct. Wonderware software also.
Education & Experience: Engineering or technical degree desired, but not required Minimum of 5 years of experience Designing Industrial Controls for the manufacturing world.
