About the Role:
The Principal Environmental Management Consultant will spearhead the approvals and impact assessment processes, offering expert advice and strategic guidance to ensure project success from an environmental perspective. Working closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, this role is instrumental in managing complex environmental challenges, delivering innovative solutions that comply with legislation, and fostering sustainable project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental impact assessments and approvals strategies for a diverse range of projects.
- Provide high-level consulting services to clients, offering expert advice on environmental management, compliance strategies, and sustainable practices.
- Engage with and influence key stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups, to facilitate project approval processes.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and industry trends to ensure the delivery of compliant and cutting-edge environmental solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, with a Master's degree highly regarded.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a proven track record in environmental approvals and impact assessments.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for navigating regulatory environments and securing project approvals.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian and Western Australian environmental legislation and policy frameworks.
