LVI are seeking a senior professional with a background in claims and dispute services, scheduling, delay/disruption and litigation support, to assist clients on complex construction issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in providing expert delay analysis support in construction disputes.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in engineering and/or construction management
- BSc degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management or related field
- Ability to write and peer review reports on complex construction/engineering projects
- Strong cost/schedule analysis experience related to delay and disruption
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. MRICS, AACE, CIArb, MSc, LLM) are highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools; MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, Primavera P3/P6, Suretrak
Responsibilities
- Conducting forensic investigations into project delays
- Preparing prospective and retrospective delay analyses for a diverse range of construction and engineering projects. This involves assimilating technical information and evidence of delays, and presenting the findings in both programs and reports
- By conducting research, cultivate a thorough understanding of all relevant information concerning legal conflicts related to large-scale construction projects
- Developing programs for new construction projects and overseeing the monitoring and re-sequencing of existing programs to ensure the timely and efficient completion of ongoing works
- Provide expert guidance to clients regarding claims, delays, cost, and risk management, ensuring effective communication and resolution strategies
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
- Compiling written reports for use in negotiations, formal dispute resolution processes such as mediation, adjudication, and litigation
- Preparation or defence of EOT claims on behalf of employers, main contractors, and sub-contractors
- Support executives in determining the optimal strategy for individual litigation/arbitration cases to help clients achieve their sought-after legal outcomes
- Work independently or with client teams to provide 'live' planning assistance.
