Responsibilities:
- Contribute to industrial wastewater treatment projects from planning to execution, ensuring they meet project goals and client expectations.
- Apply Professional Engineer (PE) license to develop and validate engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with diverse teams including environmental, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & control engineers for project design.
- Conduct engineering calculations for wastewater treatment system design and hydraulics.
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers to select and specify wastewater treatment equipment.
- Aid Haskell construction teams in reviewing Equipment Submittals and Requests-for-Information (RFIs).
- Perform site assessments and data analysis to devise tailored treatment solutions for clients.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and offer innovative solutions to optimize treatment system performance.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical insights, and maintain strong relationships.
- Generate project documentation such as engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and progress updates.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in industrial wastewater treatment.
- Mentor junior staff in honing their engineering skills.
Education/Experience:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Possess a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Accumulate five to 10 years of experience in designing, managing, and implementing industrial wastewater treatment systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in various treatment technologies including biological treatment, chemical precipitation, filtration, and advanced oxidation.
- Have a profound understanding of industrial wastewater hydraulics.
