This role is pivotal in providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, and policy insight to navigate the complex regulatory environment governing utility operations. Stay current on electric and natural gas utility regulations at federal, state, and local levels, with a focus on interconnection policies.
Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for optimization.
Interconnection Policy Expertise:
Navigate interconnection policies and procedures for electric and natural gas systems.
Provide strategic guidance on interconnection applications, standards compliance, and policy advocacy.
Utilize engineering expertise to assess utility systems for interconnection feasibility and compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of interconnected systems.
Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, regulatory challenges, and interconnection needs.
Provide strategic advice based on technical analysis, regulatory knowledge, and policy considerations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct comprehensive data analysis related to utility operations, regulatory proceedings, and interconnection applications.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in utility regulatory proceedings and interconnection policies within electric and natural gas sectors.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and interconnection policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and policy makers.
