The Operational Director/COO will be at the helm of our operations, steering the company towards operational excellence, innovation, and profitability. This role demands a leader with a deep understanding of geosciences, offshore operations, and project management, capable of ensuring our services exceed industry standards and client expectations. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, developing strategic operational plans, and leading our teams to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with our corporate vision and market demands.
- Oversee the delivery of offshore site investigation services, including geophysical survey and geotechnical site investigation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and above quality standards.
- Foster innovation in service delivery, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies in geosciences.
- Manage key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set company-wide goals, develop growth strategies, and monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental guidelines, and health and safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop our operational teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial management within operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Direct the bidding process and preparation of tendering documents, ensuring competitive and comprehensive proposals are submitted in alignment with company capabilities and client requirements.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
- Drive the negotiation and closure of contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and align with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geosciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior operational role within the offshore site investigation, geophysical survey, or geotechnical site investigation industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams in a high-stakes environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of the offshore industry's technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans that drive efficiency and growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
