Position Title: CFD Engineer Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- CFD Analysis Document Production: Oversee the comprehensive process of CFD analysis documentation from the beginning to validation, utilizing data center specific tools such as 6Sigma or equivalents (TileFlow, CoolSim, Autodesk CFD, etc.).
- Pre-Simulation Activities: Collaborate with design teams to clarify simulation prerequisites, gather essential data, and set initial conditions for simulations.
- Simulation & Validation Activities: Operate within the CFD team, maintain robust ties with design and project management units, engage directly with clients on technical simulation specifics, and validate CFD results.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of fluid mechanics principles including boundary layers, laminar flows, and basic heat transfer.
- Data center experience is required.
- Proficiency in CFD software tools, especially 6Sigma or its equivalents.
- Familiarity with core numerical methods in CFD like finite volume and element methods.
- Awareness of primary turbulence models and their applications.
- Skilled in using CFD software for simulations and reviewing drawings with AutoCAD/Revit. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
- Ability to work on fluid dynamics for CFD simulations, interpret results, and communicate both in writing and verbally.
- Minimum of seven years of industry related experience
- Bachelor's degree can substitute for two years of experience
