I am working with a reliable transportation engineering company that are looking for a CEI Practice Leader to join their team! They are dedicated to providing innovative transportation solutions that maximize efficiency and sustainability while also using cutting-edge engineering solutions that move people and goods safely and smoothly.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the CEI group within the Civil Engineering Department, overseeing project delivery, quality assurance, and staff development.
* Collaborate with project managers and technical staff to ensure that CEI practices and standards are effectively applied in all phases of transportation infrastructure projects.
* Develop and implement CEI procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistent and efficient project delivery.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the CEI team, including construction inspection, materials testing, and project documentation.
* Ensure that project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met, and that project risks are identified and managed.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
* Manage staffing needs, including hiring, training, and mentoring of staff.
* Promote a culture of safety within the CEI group and across the company.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in CEI practices, including project management and supervision of technical staff.
* In-depth knowledge of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and airports, and associated CEI practices and standards.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
