My client, a leading employee-owned, engineering consultancy specializing in infrastructure projects, is actively seeking a talented Bridge Engineer to join their team in Spokane, WA. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze various bridge structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge projects.
- Conduct structural assessments and inspections, providing recommendations for rehabilitation or repair as needed.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, planners, and other engineers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive project delivery.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to perform structural analysis and design, including proficiency in programs such as SAP2000, STAAD, or similar.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical information and project updates.
- Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in bridge engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Washington or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in bridge engineering.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Experience with bridge inspection and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) standards and procedures.
- Experience in the design of various bridge types, including concrete, steel, and pre-stressed structures.
- Knowledge of seismic design principles for bridges.
- Previous experience with bridge construction administration.
