We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to oversee specific accounts and segments within the Asia region as part of our global sales team. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in driving deal teams and leading sales cycles, from identifying early projects to closing deals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various functions within the organization, locally, regionally, and globally, to achieve our sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Lead efforts to close deals and manage complex sales within allocated segments/accounts in Asia to meet revenue and margin targets.
- Cultivate strong commercial relationships with external stakeholders and implement strategic approaches to foster partnerships.
- Oversee offer preparation and negotiate customer contracts, collaborating with sales engineering and commercial project management teams.
- Align internal teams to achieve volume objectives and ensure adherence to governance processes throughout the sales cycle.
Business Development/Growth:
- Understand current and future energy storage technology platforms to effectively sell based on value proposition and differentiation.
- Provide technical support to customers and relay feedback to technology/product management and growth teams, representing the voice of the customer.
- Develop market knowledge of relevant electricity grids/markets and participate in external activities to shape markets and position's value proposition.
- Support local growth strategy, focusing on defined customers and segments, and execute according to the strategy.
- Identify new market segments, applications, business models, sales channels, and partner strategies for review and implementation.
- Manage approved sales channels and marketing programs, ensuring proper implementation, reporting on effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Profile:
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior/large project sales role in Asia.
- Experience in managing deal teams and closing contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage in Asia or related power (renewables) and T&D markets, with existing relationships with key players.
- Collaborative with the ability to solve complex technical problems and effectively represent the company in the market.
- Independent with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
