Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AV Field Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV integration and significant experience in construction. This role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems in various environments, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee the integration of audio-visual systems from planning through completion.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to scope and specifications.
Installation and Maintenance:
- Lead the installation of AV systems, including displays, projectors, sound systems, control systems, and video conferencing equipment.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
Construction Oversight:
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate AV systems into new and existing structures.
- Review construction plans and provide input on AV system placement and requirements.
- Ensure AV installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise a team of AV technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Resolve any on-site issues or challenges promptly and effectively.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and completions.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and clients.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and any maintenance or repair work conducted.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV integration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven construction experience, particularly in relation to integrating AV systems within construction projects.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring technical teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Certifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) are highly desirable.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
Education:
- A degree in audio-visual technology, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various construction environments.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
