Job Title: AV Field Engineer/Commissioning Specialist
Job Summary: As an AV Field Engineer/Commissioning Specialist, you will be a key member of our technical team responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and commissioning complex AV projects. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering seamless AV installations, exceeding customer expectations, and maintaining our reputation as a leader in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- On-Site AV Installations: Lead and oversee on-site AV installations, ensuring all equipment and systems are set up accurately and efficiently, adhering to project specifications.
- Commissioning and Testing: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues during installations or ongoing support, applying problem-solving skills to ensure swift resolutions.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand AV requirements and provide customized solutions that align with their needs.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of AV signal flow, system design, and integration best practices to deliver high-quality AV solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide hands-on training to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize and maintain AV systems. Offer ongoing support to address any user inquiries or technical concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including installation records, system diagrams, and user manuals, ensuring easy access for team members and clients.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all AV installations and configurations meet industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and comply with relevant regulations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies, trends, and best practices, actively seeking opportunities for professional growth and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the AV industry, with a focus on AV system installation and support.
- In-depth knowledge of Crestron systems and CTS-I certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in AV equipment setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of AV signal routing, control systems, and audiovisual integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
