As we continue our expansion along the Mid-Atlantic coast, we are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia and lead our AV projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Program AV Systems:
- Develop innovative AV designs and program systems using platforms like Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, and Cisco.
- Create detailed CAD and Visio drawings to support project implementation.
- Execute Projects:
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure high-quality installation and commissioning of AV systems.
- Oversee technical project aspects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Provide technical support during and after project completion to ensure client satisfaction.
- Engage with Clients:
- Understand client needs to deliver custom AV solutions and build lasting relationships.
- Support sales teams by providing technical expertise and design insights during pre-sales.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams in various offices to align on best practices and project strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement in AV project execution.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in AV system design and programming with experience in Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, and Cisco.
- Strong CAD and Visio drawing skills, with familiarity in D-Tools or similar software.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in a similar AV role, with a proven track record in large-scale projects.
- Experience in design-build projects is highly desirable.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- CTS certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
