Automation Engineer - Siemens Expertise, Rochester
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced automation engineer to join our client's team based in the beautiful city of Rochester, United States. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on various industrial projects involving PLC programming, robotics systems, and other related areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 year's experience as an Automation Engineer
- Solid knowledge of Industrial Automation practices
Skills Required:
PLC Programming - The successful candidate must possess excellent skills when it comes to programmable logic controllers (PLCs). They should also be familiar with TIA Portal software.
Siemens Experience - Our client is looking for someone who has demonstrable expertise using Siemens technologies such as PCS7 S7 Step7.
Robotics Systems - In-depth understanding of Robotics technology is essential; Fanuc Robots would be advantageous.
Responsibilities & Duties:
The chosen applicant will work alongside the design teams from pre-project phase through commissioning. Responsibilities include but not limited to;
* Developing control system architecture solutions that meet project requirements;
* Designing new electrical schematics/panel layouts adherent to NEC/NFPA standards,
* Writing functional test procedures/test cases documentation,
* Contributing positively towards group objectives by assisting colleagues where needed
