Common duties encompass overseeing, coordinating, and assessing the efforts of fellow professionals, particularly in overseeing expansive and/or interdisciplinary ventures. This involves liaising and organizing sessions with municipal, county, and state patrons. The chosen individual will collaborate with the regional manager and Human Resources to address staffing, recruitment, and training requisites. Additionally, they will spearhead project design teams, extending support in formulating municipal drainage systems, conducting hydraulic studies, and crafting pumping stations.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Supervise, coordinate, and assess the work of fellow professionals.
- Conduct meetings and liaise with municipal, county, and state clients.
- Manage large-scale and/or interdisciplinary projects.
- Collaborate with the region manager and Human Resources on staffing, deployment, recruitment, and training requirements.
- Lead project design teams.
- Provide support in designing municipal drainage systems, hydraulic studies, and pumping stations. Assist in developing hydraulic and hydrologic modeling designs for drainage basins, water quality enhancements, and stormwater collection systems.
- Conduct analyses utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
- Draft stormwater master plan reports and preliminary engineering reports.
- Secure permits pertaining to stormwater management.
- Support construction engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients. Aid project engineers as necessary throughout project execution.
- Fulfill additional roles within the company and contribute to committees and special project teams.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, delivering tailored solutions that meet their requirements and align with the company's capabilities.
- Contribute to business development endeavors within the region.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 10 or more years of experience in the design/management of Stormwater projects.
- Professional Engineer license in the State of Florida (or transfer from another state) is required.
- Experience in Consulting Engineering, Public Works, or Construction preferred.
- ICPR3 or ICPR4 modeling experience is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of regulatory agency requirements pertaining to stormwater design.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
