A national ESOP environmental consulting firm is looking for an Associate Environmental Consultant with a GIT to join their team in Houston, TX. As an Associate Environmental Consultant, will support environmental assessment, remedial investigation, and remediation projects by performing field assignments including site assessment, sample collection, subcontractor and personnel supervision, and remediation oversight.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology required, 2 to 4 years related experience preferred.
- Texas GIT certification REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with environmental assessment and remediation projects, TCEQ rules, and reporting formats.
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
- Up to 25% travel for fieldwork or meetings.
- Effective organizational and writing skills.
- Ability to supervise and make field decisions.
- Team player with project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and instruct junior staff.
Expected Outcomes:
- Lead and supervise junior staff in technical tasks.
- Write technical sections/reports as assigned.
- Manage subcontractors in the field.
- Provide on-the-job training for other geoscientists.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
