We are currently hiring a Wind Energy Analyst on behalf of our client to join their Wind Energy Team in Taiwan. As a Wind Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting the development, procurement, construction, and management of wind assets in the region. This is a remote/hybrid position, but the successful candidate will be required to stay in Taiwan for a few months when the project starts.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting preliminary wind resource assessments to identify wind energy potential.
- Designing measurement campaigns and selecting measurement locations for met masts and LiDAR.
- Conducting site compliance analysis (wind conditions vs. IEC class).
- Conducting wind data analysis, including sanity checks, gap filling, long-term correction, and uncertainty estimation.
- Designing wind turbine layouts.
- Supporting the high-level design of met masts and selecting appropriate equipment.
- Conducting pre-construction EYAs towards bank-grade reports.
- Conducting post-construction EYAs using WTG SCADA data.
- Conducting noise assessments.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or higher in engineering or meteorology.
- At least 3 years of experience working on wind power projects and hands-on experience in completing EYA reports.
- Knowledge of wind turbine technical specifications.
- Familiarity with standard tools such as WindPro, WAsP, Windographer, QGIS, etc.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English.
