Urgently looking for a Wind Business Development Lead (チーム代表) to work for a leading International renewable energy firm in Tokyo, Japan. This company is coming up with a lot of exciting projects all over Japan and collaborating with a lot of Domestic and international players.
Wind Business Development Lead (チーム代表) is responsible for leading the local team in the Country to achieve Company targets in the Onshore Wind Renewable Energy business, including but not limited to onshore wind, battery energy storage, etc, and get a chance to work with a very international team and managing projects with the development team, the group of Engineers and other 3rd parties, with the purpose of optimizing maximum output and making sure of the timely and smooth flow of activities to ensure the completion of the Project on time.
Main Role:
- Maintain an up-to-date development cycle chart and checklist of permits/licenses required by renewable energy projects in Japan (noting differences between regions)
- Gather market intelligence through maintaining a network of industry contacts (OEM's, consultants, investors, banks, developers etc.).
- Participate in team and company meetings, discussions, and workshops.
- Keep the management team informed on project status (reporting regularly) and business challenges and contribute to the team, providing support where required.
- Work with brokers, consultants, service providers and EPC contractors to identify potential new locations with high potential for development.
- Assess new project investment opportunities, working with the regional / local management and related functions on technical and commercial appraisals.
- Manage due diligence of new opportunities, both external and internal, to support project investment and acquisition activities.
Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of previous experience in taking care of Renewable energy projects or large-scale projects.
- Only for people who are currently residing in Japan
- Bachelor's degree (preferred masters) in economics, law engineering etc.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese is a must.
- Frequent visits to the site location so driving license are required.
- Working experience in Renewable energy field and the eagerness to contribute to nature.
