We are seeking a Project Manager to join a well-established and expanding water/wastewater team in Cincinnati. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the project team through planning, design and construction phases for a wide variety of municipal water and wastewater projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager is accountable for the execution of project scope, management of budget and schedule; development of strong relationships with clients and contractors; and drives business development. This role will offer a wide variety of individual project assignments which will allow the Project Manager to practice and develop technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the manager of multi-discipline project teams assuming management responsibilities of scope, budget and schedule.
- Manage project budgets, costs, and receivables.
- Analyze and report project financial metrics as a basis for improvement.
- Manage contracts and legal issues including third party subcontracts.
- Manage changes and risk on scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety based on available resources and client requirements.
- Lead client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings.
- Responsible for determining identification of key client interests and drivers on projects.
- Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on complex projects. Focuses on client's current needs and situations.
- Typically manages multiple projects.
- Responsible for proposal preparation and pursuit of business development opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and contractors.
- Leverage professional networking skills to help identify and pursue project opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Prefer 8+ years professional experience managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver water and wastewater design projects
- Previous consulting or utility experience
- Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office Suite and Project Software
- Experience preparing proposals; negotiating and managing contracts; managing project budgets, costs and receivables
