Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Water/Wastewater Systems: The ideal candidate will have experience in water and wastewater treatment systems, including process/treatment design, pumping systems, water reuse, and water supply/storage systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations regarding water and wastewater systems is crucial.
- Project Management: The role involves engineering design, coordination with design staff, construction professionals, clients.
- Client Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for client interactions, including making formal presentations to organizations, private industry, and governmental agencies.
- Multi-Project Management: Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
- Mentorship: Assist less experienced engineers and design staff with design (CAD)
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited college is required.
- Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in water/wastewater treatment design.
- Professional Licensing: A Professional Engineering License in the State of Kansas or Missouri is required, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
