Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience: 5 to 20 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering. Experience levels vary depending on the position, with opportunities available for both mid-level Project Engineers and Senior Project Managers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD. A solid understanding of hydraulic modeling, process design, and water/wastewater treatment technologies. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Professional Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for Senior Project Manager roles; preferred for Project Engineer roles. Additional certifications in water/wastewater (e.g., WEF, AWWA) are highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively in a team environment, and build strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of water and wastewater projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and closeout. Ensure projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, and adhere to quality standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical direction and support on complex engineering challenges. Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present project updates, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations. Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Team Leadership: Depending on experience level, lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
