A top rated Water/Wastewater General Contractor is looking to bring on a Project Engineer for a large water/wastewater project in Morro Bay, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering
* Minimum 2 year working in Heavy Civil Construction on Water/Wastewater projects.
* Initiative, Leadership, Decision Making Skills and able to Manage a Project Team
* Evaluate, Organise and Prioritise Workload within a Schedule
* Ability to Work within Budgets and to Deadlines
* Identify Engineering Problems and Develop Solutions
* Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
* Detail Oriented with Strong Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, HCSS, Adobe& CAD)
RESPONSIBILITIES
ยท Cooperate and Communicate Effectively with Project Manager, Superintendent, Subcontractors, Clients and other Project Participants
ยท Interacting with Clients to Determine their Requirements/Develop Client Relationships
ยท Prepare, Schedule, Coordinate and Monitor Assignments to Project Team
ยท Quantities and Cost Control
ยท Work with Project Manager, Clients, Designers, Subcontractors and Project Team on RFI's, Submittals, Correspondence and Change Orders and Maintain Project Files
ยท Review Engineering Deliverables and Initiate Appropriate Actions
ยท Perform Overall Quality Control of the Work (Budget, Schedule, Plans, Performance)
ยท Oversee Daily Construction and Provide Project Support to Subcontractors and Field Staff
ยท Bid Review/Control Estimate Support (HCSS to Viewpoint Conversion)
