Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Resources Civil Engineer with 10-15+ years of experience to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will have a solid background in water resources engineering and a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead and manage water resources projects from conceptual design through construction.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with quality standards and client specifications.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Technical Expertise:
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
- Design and implement stormwater management systems, flood control projects, and water quality improvement projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, planners, and construction personnel.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to clients regularly.
- Prepare and present project proposals and reports.
Business Development:
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and presentations.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities and clients.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience:
- 10-15+ years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering water resources projects.
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of water resources engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
