My client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Live Events Video Engineer to manage and operate video equipment and systems during live events. The successful candidate will oversee the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of video feeds to ensure high-quality broadcasting and recording. The Live Events Video Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members and collaborate with other technical staff to deliver seamless video experiences for audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the video production team during live events.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior video engineers.
- Plan and design video system layouts, including camera placement and equipment setup.
- Set up, configure, and operate video equipment such as cameras, switchers, and streaming devices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot video feeds in real-time during events.
- Coordinate with audio, lighting, and other technical staff for synchronized production.
- Breakdown and maintain video equipment post-event.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, manage contracts and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with video production standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Video Production, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in live event video production and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, and streaming protocols.
- Experience leading and managing a team of video engineers.
- Proficiency with video equipment and software such as Barco and Analogue Way video switchers.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and negotiate contracts and proposals.
- Experience ensuring compliance with video production standards.
