My client is seeking a Project Engineer for their Transportation Team in Walnut Creek/East Bay area office, you would help other Project Managers in delivering multiple projects for public agency clients while working on transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and executing technical deliverables and coordination of a broad range of assignments requiring prior experience on transportation projects
- Operate under reduced supervision, delivering support to project team for all required design services, direction, coordination, and follow-up on the work duties assigned to guarantee high quality deliverables are prepared, efficiency levels are kept, and client fulfilment exceeded
- Design efforts are focused on transportation engineering and could include research & analysis, engineering studies, design of transit and bicycle facilities, street and highway design, sewer and storm drainage design, traffic control and stage construction design, signing/striping, utility coordination
- Coordinating with sub-consultants, internal project team members and managing activities of firm staff
- Establishing and monitoring devotion to project schedule and budget
- Represent the firm by preparing and delivering presentations for clients
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California
- 5+ years of experience with skills to navigate multi-disciplined engineering projects
- Strong working knowledge in roadway design software using AutoCAD Civil 3D is a must. MicroStation knowledge is a plus
- Must be familiar with Caltrans, local agency and AASHTO design and methods, governing compliance and agency coordination
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
