Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager/Superintendent to oversee and manage a range of complex projects in the transit, railroad, and construction sectors. This role is crucial for ensuring project success through effective planning, execution, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects. Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and mitigate risks.
- Supervision: Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Provide guidance and support to field staff and subcontractors.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Facilitate clear and effective communication to address concerns and provide updates.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage schedules to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project outcomes. Implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or superintendent roles within the transit, railroad, or construction industries. Proven track record of managing large-scale projects successfully.
- Education: Preferred but not necessary, Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
