A global separation solutions and chemical equipment manufacturing MNC is looking for a Technologist in:
- Bio-based Applications (bio-chemical, bio-monomers, oleochemicals, and bio-fuels)
- Polymer Recycling (polymer chemical recycling technology)
As a technologist, you will work closely with the team to incorporate new technology and deduce new ways to improve operations and processes for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Driving the set-up and implementation of the APAC Bio-based application / polymer chemical recycling technology and market roadmap respectively
- Coordinating R&D, process development and customer testing activities for bio-based application or polymer recycling with the global team respectively.
- Being the contact person for all technical question related to bio-based products for bio-chemicals, bio-monomers, oleochemicals and bio-fuels or polymer recycling for the chemical recycling of polymers
- Prioritizing and supervising early phase and sales projects together with other specialists
- Building strong relationships with universities and other technical stakeholders who are active in the field of polymer recycling
- Participate in technical conferences and write technical papers
Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bio-chemicals / bio-monomers productions or polymer production, processing and/or chemical recycling respectively
- Familiar in market trends, players and current projects in the APAC bio-economy sector or APAC plastic recycling sector
- Experienced in chemical recycling or fermentation processes and/or bio-catalytic processes would be considered as a plus
- Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
- Willing to travel globally for up to 20-40%
