Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise survey crew members during field operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, and land title surveys using advanced surveying equipment and software.
- Plan survey projects, including selecting appropriate survey methods, tools, and techniques to achieve accurate and reliable results.
- Analyze field data, measurements, and calculations, and collaborate with the survey team to produce accurate survey maps, drawings, and reports.
- Maintain and troubleshoot surveying equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to provide updates on project status, resolve issues, and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in surveying, geomatics, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Survey Party Chief, demonstrating a strong understanding of surveying techniques, equipment, and software.
- Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, data collectors, and CAD software for data processing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations and measurements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and collaborate with survey crew members effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in surveying work.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
