Job title: Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager - Austin/Dallas
Seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manage to lead traffic engineering design and studies for internal and external clients. This role involves design work, overseeing projects, managing technical tasks, and ensuring quality control under the supervision of the Department Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare traffic control device designs (signals, signs, pavement markings) using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Lead traffic studies and draft technical reports, plans, and analyses.
- Oversee QA/QC procedures and coordinate with other disciplines and agencies.
- Manage project schedules, scopes, budgets, and client communication.
- Supervise and mentor production staff.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in traffic signal design, roadway lighting, and ADA/PROWAG compliance.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Required Experience:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 7+ years of traffic engineering experience, including project management.
