A top-tier civil consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Survey Project Manager to lead its surveying and mapping operations in the Detroit Metro area. This role requires a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification in Michigan and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in land surveying, including at least 2 years in project management. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the Land Surveying department, ensuring all projects meet internal standards and local regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the local team and clients to deliver precise, high-quality surveying services using advanced technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage surveying and mapping projects, such as topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction staking.
- Implement advanced technologies, including LiDAR mapping, drones, GPS, and traditional surveying methods.
- Oversee daily operations, coordinate field survey activities, and manage office tasks like field note reduction, traverse adjustments, and topographic map preparation.
- Foster the integration and promotion of innovative Survey, Mapping, and Geomatics technologies.
Essential Qualifications:
- PLS certification in Michigan.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in land surveying.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
- Business development experience is advantageous.
