The company are seeking a well rounded, P.Eng structural engineer who will take a hands-on role in a variety of projects across forensic analysis, and structural repair & restoration.
With roughly 40-50 workers, this medium-sized business has structural engineering as its largest segment. The role involves direct client contact, larger projects for senior level employees, and a lot of client interaction. This organisation is providing a fantastic chance for networking and advancement. You will be expected to cultivate direct client relationships and build upon them. The successful candidate must be able to effectively sell themselves and their abilities.
Requirements include:
- Must have sufficient knowledge of wood frame construction (Minimum 3 years experience)
- 3+ years project management experience
- 6+ years structural design experience
- Experience working on fire damage or fire separation
- P.Eng designation
Responsibilities:
- Examines the degree of harm in the civil/structural sectors at residential, commercial, and industrial locations
- Collaborates with diverse teams on extensive and intricate projects.
- Investigate failure modes and code specifications when necessary. Complete all required reporting and create drawings for permits detailing the restoration and renovation projects
- Designing and drafting structural restorations for damaged residential buildings, as well as designing and drafting new residential buildings.
- Collaborates with clients, contractors, and building owners to ensure the project is completed successfully.
- Give suggestions on structure in reports that are well-written.
