Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee major projects, including those involving Historic Preservation and Landmark status.
- Coordinate and manage staff organization and planning.
- Lead the management of restoration projects for faรงades, plazas, roofs, and garages.
- Direct inspections and design efforts for building envelope restoration.
- Handle compliance with Local Law 11, including site inspections, condition recording, and compiling findings for DOB reports and submissions.
- Conduct inspections from various access points, including ground level, rooftops, lifts, and both supported and suspended scaffolding.
- Provide design and support for architectural and real estate development initiatives.
- Create and prepare detailed plans, specifications, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to Landmark Preservation requirements through effective coordination.
- Oversee contractor bid walkthroughs and evaluations.
- Review and manage payment applications, change orders, and project schedules.
- Pursue new business opportunities and enhance existing client relationships.
- Train and supervise team members, ensuring high-quality work.
- Estimate project scopes, timelines, and staffing needs for proposals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years of specialized experience with Local Law 11/FISP.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Registered Architect (RA) certification is required.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Excel.
- Requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Previous experience in New York is required.
