A global energy and services MNC is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer for Industrial Cooling).
Reporting to: Program Manager
Responsibilities:
- Plan and propose research studies for low carbon technologies pertaining to industrial cooling (e.g. steam, chilled water, cooling water, refrigeration, compressed air etc.)
- Perform audit, feasibility studies, techno-economic assessment on low carbon energy solutions
- Responsible for continuous improvement and new product development
- Contribute to all projects that requires simulation, modelling, data science, and energy related analysis
- Provide technical expertise to external stakeholders and research partners
- Support R&D team in lab - consultation, project coordination, training etc.
- Guide junior research engineers and interns on assigned projects and technical support Program Manager on commercial engagements
Requirements:
- Master or PhD in Physics, Mechanical / Chemical / Energy Engineering or other relevant disciplines
- 5-7+ years of experience in energy-related research works
- Expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfers and understanding of industrial processes and energy use
- Working knowledge on thermal energy systems (e.g. boiler, combustion process, thermal energy storage, chiller, boiler)
- Relevant data analytics and programming skills
- Knowledge on emerging and innovative decarbonized solutions across APAC is preferred
- Comfortable to work on projects in industrial sites
- Willing to travel domestically for work
