Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education & experience
* PE license required
* 8+ years applicable experience
* Previous experience in land development or municipal engineering; thorough knowledge of all phases of civil engineering and the operation of municipal government
* High proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel
* Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to the corporate office as well as local clients and project sites
* Excellent concentration and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
* Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams including technical and non-technical personnel
* Resourceful, action-oriented, creative, and analytical thinker
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively

Position Description
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for planning, management, design and quality control of civil engineering projects from beggining to completion in accordance with the project scope, as well as developing and fostering business relationships with existing and new clients across disciplines
Duties & Responsibilities
* Responsible for everyday project activities, quality control, project deliverables, and plan set review
* Oversee all phases of the project from design through construction
* Make engineering design decisions independently
* Serve as main point-of-contact for all project-related questions and concerns from internal and external stakeholders
* Lead communication with contractors and subcontractors on all engineering tasks
* Proactively manage design issues, budgetary concerns, and other project-related complications
* Assist with preparation of proposals and cost estimates for new project opportunities
* Direct and coordinate workloads with other project team members
* Coordinate regularly with other internal and/or external team members
* Monitor and evaluate projects to ensure adherence to project specifications, budgets and standards
* Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project
elements
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project(s) while adhering to Company standards
and methodologies
* Prepare contract documents and review/evaluate submitted bids for various projects as assigned
* Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, recommending actions
* Perform field inspections of existing site conditions and water, sewer, road, and other infrastructure as necessary
* Produce drawings using computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software, and/or modify drawings as necessary
* Responsible for obtaining permits with various local, county and/or state agencies as necessary
* Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
* Train and mentor other associates within team and across company
* Maintain exceptional internal and external client relations
* Achieve performance objectives and financial metrics
* All other duties as assigned
