This client is offering a fantastic opportunity to join a growing engineering practice at their Pittston, PA office. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading design projects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with clients. You will be involved from the initial conceptual design through to project completion across various industries, including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sectors!
Position Highlights:
- Provide HVAC systems design and engineering for healthcare, commercial, educational, and industrial facilities.
- Conduct life cycle cost analyses, energy studies, and conditional assessments for HVAC systems.
- Perform field inspections to assess existing conditions.
- Conduct ventilation, cooling, and heat load calculations.
- Select HVAC equipment for diverse project and system types.
- Perform flow and pressure drop calculations to size air distribution and piping systems.
- Design air and hydronic distribution systems.
- Collaborate with designers to plan equipment layouts, ductwork, and piping systems.
- Conduct code analysis based on federal, state, and local regulations.
- Design EMS/ATC systems, including control diagrams, point lists, and sequence of operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (BSME/BSAE).
- 6+ years of experience in HVAC design for complex projects.
- PE license preferred, but EIT accepted.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Trane Trace 700, or Carrier HAP.
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
Bonus Skills:
- LEED/AP certification and commissioning experience.
- Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Revit experience is a plus.
